Alternative Health Clinic Information, Advice, and Techniques

Visit an alternative health clinic if you are interested in exploring options that do not fall within the realm of conventional medicine. This alternative health approach to healing is more metaphysical and spiritual, and goes along with the belief that the body is capable of healing itself, and this medicine is just part of the healing process.

Aromatherapy, which dates about 80 years back, is a popular form. This is to apply or inhale essential plant oils. This technique is said to be a growing industry. It brings to mind the scented oils and candles, but modern aromatherapy includes more than those relaxing accessories.

Another alternative health care option the clinic might suggest is the use of herbal supplements as a healing power. Herbs commonly used include aloe vera, chamomile, belladonna, ginkgo biloba, and valerian. Aloe vera can help with burns, such as sunburn and other irritations to the skin. Chamomile is said to be relaxing and can relief ailments such as indigestion and heartburn. Many products are available, as there are A-Z medicine cabinets that are ways of healing that differ from the conventional way.

Some other techniques an alternative health clinic might suggest include deep breathing, magnet therapy, meditation and spirituality. The medicine has gotten both advocacy and skepticism, so talk to a professional and research the product or method in question thoroughly before making the decision. So which option is better, these alternative health style methods or conventional, scientific prices? It all depends on what you want for your body.

Halo 3 - Hip or Hype?

Best game ever, or best hyped game ever?

Halo 3 has been anticipated for a long time by its zealous fans. Once promised to release with the XBox 360 and later delayed, it's been in the making for some time and much anticipated. Is the wait worth the hype or is it just a flash in the pan? Halo has a reputation for being popular with "unsophisticated" gamers who value eye candy and light gameplay over a quality experience. Is this true, or is it just gamers being stuffy?

I'm sorry to report that to a degree, it's a bit overhyped. It's a solid game with good controls, but is basically just your average first person shooter with slightly better than average production values. Not to mention, using a controller to aim and shoot is difficult for those used to the more accurate controls offered by a mouse and keyboard, and the PC version comes out months after the XBox one.

Not to mention, well, Xbox Live. It's a fantastic service in technical terms, but like many things, we're not so sure about the people using it. Halo is great fun played with friends that you know and can wager with and exercise bragging rights over, but the jury's out on online matchmaking. The wide variety of people to play around the world of many skill levels is great, but we were rather appalled to hear what sounded like legions of 12 year old boys spew forth a legion of dirty words, some of which we had to look up. If you're looking for new and exciting ways to learn ethnic slurs, this is it folks.

Thankfully, you can mute people who get a bit obnoxious or simply play with people who are a bit more chilled out. When playing with people who keep the trash talking to a bearable level, Halo 3 is a solid and fun game and possibly required owning for every shooter fan that owns a 360. Those of us who are a bit more casually-minded, however, are still having a great time with Uno!
